The Secunda Var. Vivipara is a RARE hardy air plant with large, lush , medium green leaves. These grow large, up to 2 feet. The leaves are green and waxy with a shape like traditional bromeliads. The bloom spike is a deep pink to red and very large. The pups form on the bloom spike! And produce many, many pups, easily 50+. It is truly an unusual and beautiful sight to see! It is normal for these to have some blemishes on the leaves of this type of plant. Please Note: All of our plants ship green however when available we will ship blushing or blooming.
These are hard to find Tillandsia grown in small batches.
Tillandsia are low maintenance, making them a great choice for people who are new to indoor plants.
They need regular daily indirect or filtered sunlight (so fine for desks, shelves, bathrooms or bedrooms). A weekly water is all they require - although you can always give them a mist in between if they look a little dry.
Air plants prefer regular air circulation, so we suggest open terrariums rather than the kind with lids.
