Tillandsia Tectorum is one of those air plants in a class all its own! Its fuzzy foliage is a green so light it appears white with long, dense trichomes. These super cute air plants from Ecuador are light as a feather. Their natural environment is at a high elevation with cooler temperatures, bright light and little water. When caring for Tectorum mist well rather than drench about every week or two. Provide lots of bright light and an open, airy environment.

These plants are low maintenance, making them a great choice for people who are new to indoor plants.

They need regular daily indirect or filtered sunlight (so fine for desks, shelves, bathrooms or bedrooms). A weekly water is all they require - although you can always give them a mist in between if they look a little dry.

Air plants prefer regular air circulation, so we suggest open terrariums rather than the kind with lids.
